Marinated Octopus
Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 kg octopus
• 5 cinnamon leaves
• ¼ T spoon of cinnamon
• ¼ T spoon of white pepper
• ¼ T spoon caraway
• ½ T spoon of iodized salt
• 1 whole lemon
• ¼ cup of lemon jus
• 1 large onions
• 2 spoons of olive oil
Preparation method:
Cut the octopus into pieces (preferably medium cuts)
Cut the lemon to 4 adequate pieces without peeling it
Cut the onions into rings or cubes
Combine all the ingredients together, add them the brazier and let cook for about 55 to 70 min so that the octopus muscles become soft or lean.
Once the octopus is cooked remove it from the pot and put it in a
plate, use as garnish chopped parsley, carved tomato and lemon slices.
Dressing sauces:
As for the sauce it is preferably to use the sauce that’s left in the brazier as dressing or you can prepare a lemon and olive oil sauce.
Cooking time: 55 to 70min.
